The story behind Chris Oats’ journey over the last several months has been heart-breaking yet encouraging at the same time.
The Kentucky Football linebacker recently made his return home after staying at a rehabilitation center up in Ohio since June. The exact nature of the injury has not been specified by the University, although head coach Mark Stoops recently said that he believes Oats will make it back on the field one day.
Ahead of Kentucky’s record-shattering 34-7 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, the UT social media team put out a tweet honoring Oats, hashtagging it with #22OatsStrong.
