According to data from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) processed by Hortoinfo, the world's fresh fruit and vegetable production have a value of 369,515.38 million euro.
Grapes lead the fruits and vegetables production value ranking with 44,391.42 million euro.
They are followed by tomatoes, the vegetable that reached the highest value, with 40,083.02 million euro.
Bananas ranked third with a production value of 25,961.51 million euro. They are followed by mangoes, mangosteens, and guavas with 24,231.27 million, apples with 20,742.16, onions and shallots with 18,129.42 million euro, oranges with 16,225.85 million, peppers with 14,832.63 million, and strawberries with 9,603.69 million euro.
The top 10 is closed by cucumbers with 9,134.85 million euro.
The FAO data correspond to January-December of 2018 and are the latest data published by the agency.
