The innovative electronic weight grading system featuring the new patented cup grader by Bulltec was chosen by the Bio Sikelia PO in Syracuse, which specializes in the production of organic vegetables and citrus fruit.
"Thanks to this new technology, the produce falls from the cups by gravity and reaches the tank in water, so it is not "thrown". What is more, it enables us to work in smaller spaces," explains Ruggero Ricci from Bulltec."
It is a new concept that enables to work in difficult spaces where there is a lot of water and mud. Bulltec decided to renovate the transport and grading system of leaf vegetables as well, as sorting is made more difficult by the water and soil.
"What is more, as the product falls into the water by gravity, any type of vegetable falls directly from the cup into the tank, so there can be more grading and packaging stations in a smaller space."
