New Delhi, Jul 21(ANI): Due to incessant rainfall in Delhi, vegetable sellers of Ghazipur Mandi are facing a crisis as most of the vegetables have rotten. Price of vegetables has also shot up. However, tomato prices saw a dip, as prices came down to Rs. 50 per kilogram. Earlier Tomatoes spiked up to Rs. 80 per kilogram. Vegetable sellers also complained of low footfall in the mandi. One of the vegetable sellers said, “The condition of the market is very poor. Due to rainfall, most of the vegetables have rotten due to which vegetable sellers are facing losses. This is affecting the price of the vegetables too. Cauliflower is being sold for Rs. 250-300 per 5 kilogram, tomatoes Rs. 250 per 5 kilogram. Prices have just doubled and the footfall is merely 35 per cent.”
