Lyon County officials are alerting the public of another vegetable giveaway this week in Eddyville.
Judge-Executive Wade White says they will be hosting another giveaway on Thursday from 4PM until all veggies are gone at the Lee S. Jones Park just south of Eddyville on Highway 93 South.
He adds families outside of Lyon County are welcome after 6PM as officials don’t expect to run out until 8 or 9PM and notes only two boxes will be given out per family. Officials are also asking there not be more than two families per carpool.
White states the vegetables are available at no cost to residents thanks to funds acquired through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
He is also encouraging those who wish to pick up vegetables to follow the signs at park as there will be one way into the line with two lanes behind the horse arena.
Updates on Thursday about how many boxes are still available can be found on the Lyon County Kentucky Facebook page and will be updated every hour after the event begins until all boxes are given away.
