The Storm Lake School Board approved Fareway's bid for the 2020-2021 USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable grant.
The program will provide all enrolled students at the Elementary School with a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables throughout the school day.
The district also applied for the grant at East Early Childhood, which didn't meet the threshold for free and reduced lunches.
The Board approved adding COO Jeff Tollefson as the temporary third member of Storm Lake's Teacher Quality Committee.
The other members of Storm Lake's committee are Superintendent Dr. Stacey Cole and High School Principal Seith Monahan.
The committee decides how teaching funds are used each year. Tollefson is filling in as a member this year, and will be replaced by one of the district's principal's next year.
