BEIJING, July 4 (Xinhua) -- A total of 18,755 tonnes of vegetables were supplied to Beijing via three transfer stations between late June and Friday, as part of measures to ensure food supplies following a COVID-19 outbreak at the city's Xinfadi market, local authorities said Saturday.
The transfer stations, two located in north China's Hebei Province and one in a suburb of Beijing, played an important role in ensuring the supplies, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform said.
According to data from the Beijing Capital Agribusiness & Foods Group, the prices of vegetables and fruits in Beijing remain stable.
From June 11 to July 3, Beijing reported 332 confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, mostly linked to an outbreak at the city's Xinfadi food market, according to the municipal health commission. Enditem
