Georgia vegetable season is a sure sign that summer’s here. We checked in with Southern Valley, a six-generation family farm in Norman Park, GA for a look at what’s coming to market now.
Southern Valley is a women-owned grower of a wide variety of Southern vegetables from its home base in Georgia, as well as operations in Tennessee and Yucatan.
We talked with Dug Schwalls for this update that also aired on our broadcast partner The RFD-TV Network.
Georgia’s spring fruit and vegetable harvest has an estimated farm gate value of $500-$750 million, according to the state Department of Agriculture.
