In January-April 2021, 146,700 tons of agricultural products worth $41.4 million were exported to Kazakhstan from Uzbekistan, with a share of 22.3% in total exports. The second major consumer of agricultural products from Uzbekistan was Russia, where 58,800 tons of vegetables and fruits for $37 million were exported in four months with a share of 19.9% in the fruits and vegetables exports of the country.
During this period, China imported 28,900 tons of fruits and vegetables for $24.3 million with a share of 13.1%. After China came Pakistan, where 10,800 tons of agricultural products for $20 million (10.7%) were exported.
Official data points to the fact that the volume of fruits and vegetables exports amounted to 327,900 tons and, in value terms, exceeded $186 million (the growth rate, compared to the same period in 2020, was 0.5%, respectively). 263,000 tons of vegetables worth $123.4 million were exported (the growth rate in value terms, compared to the same period in 2020, was 2%). Some 34,300 tons of fruits and berries worth $29.3 million were exported (a decrease in value terms compared to the same period in 2020 was 13.5%).
According to east-fruit.com figures, in January-April 2021, the share of fruits and vegetables in total exports amounted to 5.3% and decreased by 0.3% compared to January-March.
